Showcasing Generative AI at Bristol Tech Festival

Bristol Tech Festival James and Rob

Earlier this week we had a great opportunity to get out of the studio and present some of our latest work at Bristol Tech Festival. We showcased some of the innovative work we’ve been doing as one of the companies chosen to take part in MyWorld’s Challenge Call programme. Delivered by Digital Catapult and supported by NVIDIA, the Challenge Call ran for 16-weeks and awarded us £50,000 to explore and develop exciting new tools for the creative industries.

Generative AI tools for VFX

Our work focused on developing a generative AI text-to-image toolkit, which can be used to create 2D images, maps and other images needed for VFX scenes. We showcased this new toolkit at the festival, demonstrating how it can be used to make parallax occlusion maps and 3D textured surfaces.

As our Creative Technologist James Pollock explains: “Our goal is to be able to tackle unique VFX challenges each project presents with bespoke AI-assisted solutions, and to put these tools of the future in the hands of our talented artists. NVIDIA’s insightful feedback on our work as a part of the MyWorld Challenge Call has been invaluable in informing our strategy toward innovation in this rapidly changing space.”
